American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract at an adult emergency department in Massachusetts, requiring active MA licensure and a minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience.

65-bed, pod-based adult Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and a separate Acute Mental Health area

Patient population includes all ages with approximately 230 visits per day

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30, 36 hours per week

Every other weekend (EOW) required

Occasional rotation to day shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a) when requested; rotation frequency is low

Floating required

EMR: Epic (ASAP module); Epic experience preferred

Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience

Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS

NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred

Proficiency in core ED skills including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

2 professional references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

All certifications must be AHA-issued; no other certifying bodies are accepted for this facility

Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
