This position will be in a Triaxle Dump Truck with the opportunity to Drive one of our late model tractors as a backup and eventually full time tractor driver. <Job Overview>
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver at JM Dorsey Inc, you will be at the forefront of our logistics operations, transporting various freight including construction materials across designated routes. <Duties>
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks with automatic transmissions to transport freight over short distances.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company on the road and during customer interactions.
<Experience>
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with freight delivery involving load & unload responsibilities.
- Ability to handle various cargo types safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for commercial trucking.
- Prior experience a plus but not necessary. We have our own training program for Dump truck drivers
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
