Hiring CDL Class A Owner Operators out of Melrose Park, IL In this role you’ll operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes within 30 miles out of Melrose Park, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers.
- Execute route driving assignments efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries across designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage documentation for freight manifests, delivery receipts, and logs accurately and promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, and any issues encountered en route.
- Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving habits and adhering to all traffic laws.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license.
- Must have 2 year of experience.
- Proficiency in handling Dry van trailers.
- Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation operations.
