Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Handle floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal condition.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers to ensure thorough maintenance of all flooring types.
- Safely manage chemical agents used for cleaning and floor care, adhering strictly to safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment as required for various cleaning tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by sanitizing fixtures and surfaces regularly.
- Support janitorial and custodial operations by organizing supplies, managing waste disposal, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleaning services.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing floors.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely for cleaning purposes while following environmental guidelines.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during routine tasks.
- Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices in commercial cleaning environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times.

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
