You will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating sophisticated imaging equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and precision in all procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals for Nuclear Cardiology.
- Operate medical imaging equipment with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnostic evaluation.
- Assist physicians during imaging procedures by positioning patients correctly based on detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures and ensure patient safety.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ medical history and explain procedures clearly using appropriate medical terminology.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, observing vital signs and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and compliant with safety standards related to nuclear medicine and radiation exposure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with nuclear medicine procedures.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, radiation safety protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with medical imaging technologies such as gamma cameras and SPECT/CT systems.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation by analyzing images for quality and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
