Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and precision
- Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Process cash and card transactions smoothly, including sales upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure timely service
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems for guest seating management and table turnover efficiency
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with beverage service including spirits and wine knowledge is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages, cocktails, and menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive communication style
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
