Route Sales Representative

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Route Sales Representative to service established customer accounts, develop new business opportunities, and drive sales growth within assigned territories. This position plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction, increasing market penetration, and ensuring efficient product distribution.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to manage daily routes, customer interactions, inventory accountability, and collections while representing the Company professionally.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute assigned sales routes and customer visits daily.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
· Identify and develop new customer opportunities within assigned territories.
· Generate, qualify, and register new customer leads and accounts.
· Present and promote Company products to customers.
· Create accurate invoices and process customer orders efficiently.
· Maintain product availability and support merchandising efforts when required.
· Collect customer payments and properly document all transactions.
· Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy throughout assigned routes.
· Record daily customer visits, sales activities, and operational reports.
· Follow Company pricing policies, sales procedures, and operational standards.
· Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
· Meet or exceed assigned sales, service, and productivity goals.
· Operate Company vehicles safely and responsibly when assigned.
· Always represent the Company professionally and positively.
Qualifications & Skills
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
· Must be insurable under the Company's commercial vehicle insurance policy.
· Experience operating delivery vans, route vehicles, or commercial vehicles preferred.
· Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills.
· Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage daily route responsibilities.
· Basic computer, invoicing, and recordkeeping skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accountability.
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
· Ability to meet sales goals and performance expectations.
· Previous route sales, outside sales, wholesale distribution, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
· Ability to travel throughout assigned sales territories daily.
· Ability to lift, load, and transport products when necessary.
· Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding Company information and customer accounts.
· Must comply with all Company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
