Summary
Glenmeadow is seeking a creative, experienced, and enthusiastic Wellness Program Assistant with a genuine passion for working with older adults. In this role, you will organize and implement a diverse range of social, recreational, and physical programs that enhance residents’ well-being and quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate creative, resident-centered programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social wellness, including specialized activities for residents with dementia.

Lead engaging group programs, outings, and one-on-one visits, encouraging participation and fostering meaningful connections.

Conduct wellness assessments to personalize programming, track progress, and adapt activities to residents’ evolving abilities and interests.

Collaborate with caregivers, staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program success.

Manage program logistics, including setup, cleanup, materials, attendance tracking, and maintaining clean, organized program spaces.

Support departmental operations, special events, and respond flexibly to schedule or program changes.

Ensure resident safety, confidentiality, and a welcoming environment at all times.

Observe and report any physical and mental changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor or Nursing staff.

Enter approved programs into GoIcon (activity tracking system) and create announcements as needed to promote resident engagement.
