Job Summary
HR HealthCare is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing a wide range of maintenance activities.
The Maintenance Technician will primarily focus on equipment maintenance, while also supporting general facility upkeep as needed. This position is responsible for executing preventive maintenance plans, troubleshooting issues, and performing timely repairs to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with electrical troubleshooting and be comfortable supporting fabrication projects as they arise. The schedule is Monday through Friday; 10:30 pm - 7:00 am + overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure equipment functions within specifications.
- Conduct HVAC/R maintenance tasks, including servicing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks efficiently.
- Work safely with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Use welding techniques—including <LOCATION> welding—and mechanical skills to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
- Maintain detailed schematics and technical documentation for all repairs and installations.
- Operate industrial lifts such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated equipment or work areas.
- Support field service activities by troubleshooting on-site issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and enhance overall equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician role within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of industrial electrician practices, high voltage systems, and low voltage controls.
- Hands-on expertise with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, analysis skills, and CMMS software usage.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately.
- Experience working with industrial maintenance tools including ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics interpretation, and safety protocols for high-voltage environments.
- Knowledge of field service procedures in manufacturing settings with excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
- Ability to work third shift hours reliably while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
