Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites or industrial facilities. Support the setup and operation of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper wiring and circuit functionality. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in accurate installation of electrical components. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage wiring systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in the assembly of electrical panels, conduit runs, and framing carpentry as needed for project completion. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues using schematics and testing devices, ensuring systems meet safety standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience working as an electrician helper or in a related electrical role is preferred, especially within industrial or commercial settings. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters is essential. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage wiring practices aligned with NEC standards is highly desirable. Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while working under supervision; a proactive attitude toward learning is valued. Experience with frame carpentry or related construction skills can be beneficial but is not required. Strong communication skills and reliability are key qualities for success in this role.
