Job Summary:
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the market’s equipment and physical locations, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other issues in equipment and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Perform repairs or replacements of defective parts, components, and wiring, on all necessary equipment.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements in appropriate systems.

Work closely with operations teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to operations.

Assist with premise installations, drop construction, and cable locates as assigned.

Ensure safety protocols and equipment are well maintained and followed at each location.

Market travel as needed.

Other special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of network devices and understanding of basic operation of network.

Moderate understanding of premise network.

Basic understanding of Highline products and services.

Proficient in using manual and power tools. Comfortable with handling ladders, aerial lifts and excavation equipment.

Ability to differentiate Highline network cables, make cable connections in tight spaces, and carry equipment over varied terrain.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma required or advanced degree.
-
1+ years of construction or maintenance of communications network experience preferred
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.

Must be able to work at different heights, near power lines, construction sites or confined spaces.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (Drug and Background), as well as Random Selections.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
-
Ability to work or travel as needed for business continuity.
