Healthcare and Life Solutions is seeking a motivated, licensed Medicare Sales Agent to join our growing insurance agency as a Licensed-Only Agent (LOA). This full-time role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about helping Medicare-eligible individuals understand their coverage options, compare plans, and make informed insurance decisions. While our agency focuses primarily on Medicare solutions, we also offer life insurance, long-term care insurance, and annuity products to help clients with broader protection and retirement planning needs.
The Medicare Sales Agent will be responsible for building relationships with prospects and clients, following up with agency-provided leads, generating new business through personal prospecting and outreach, conducting needs-based consultations, explaining Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and related insurance products, and supporting clients throughout the enrollment process. The agent may also identify opportunities to discuss life insurance, long-term care, and annuity solutions when appropriate. The ideal candidate is licensed, sales-driven, professional, comfortable working in an in-office environment, and committed to maintaining strong sales performance while providing ethical, compliant, and client-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Meet with Medicare-eligible prospects and clients to understand their needs, coverage goals, and financial protection priorities
- Explain Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and related insurance options in a clear, compliant manner
- Discuss life insurance, long-term care insurance, and annuity solutions when appropriate based on client needs
- Follow up with agency-provided leads while also actively generating new business through outbound calls, referrals, community outreach, networking, and agency marketing efforts
- Assist clients with plan comparisons, applications, enrollments, and required documentation
- Maintain accurate client records, sales activity notes, and follow-up tasks in agency systems
- Build long-term client relationships through professional communication, ongoing service, and timely follow-up
- Maintain consistent sales activity and meet expected sales performance goals
- Stay current on Medicare products, life insurance, long-term care, annuity products, carrier guidelines, enrollment periods, and compliance requirements
- Participate in educational, marketing, and sales events as needed
- Represent the agency with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to client service
Qualifications
- Active insurance license required
- Experience selling Medicare products preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and enrollment periods preferred
- Life insurance, long-term care, or annuity product knowledge preferred
- Strong sales, relationship-building, and follow-up skills
- Ability to meet and maintain sales performance expectations
- Professional communication skills with the ability to explain insurance options clearly
- Comfortable making outbound calls, setting appointments, working with agency-provided leads, and proactively prospecting for new business
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage client records and sales activity accurately
- Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion and professionalism
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) communication skills preferred
- Commitment to compliant, ethical, and client-focused sales practices
