Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of plaintiff personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing case files, communicating with clients, obtaining medical records, coordinating treatment information, and assisting with settlement negotiations and litigation preparation. Because apparently insurance companies don't voluntarily hand over fair compensation when asked nicely.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload from intake through settlement or trial.
- Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and experts.
- Request, review, and summarize medical records and billing statements.
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement demand packages.
- Track treatment progress and maintain accurate case notes.
- Calculate and document damages, including medical expenses and lost wages.
- Coordinate filing deadlines and maintain litigation calendars.
- Assist attorneys with discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Review police reports, witness statements, and other evidence.
- Maintain electronic and physical case files in compliance with firm procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years of personal injury paralegal experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury claims and litigation procedures.
- Experience obtaining and analyzing medical records and bills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and court procedures.
- Knowledge of settlement demand preparation and negotiation support.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
