Become the Physical Therapist You Were Trained to Be
You became a Physical Therapist to think critically, solve meaningful problems, and help people return to the activities they love.
At Total Motion Physical Therapy in Christiansburg, Virginia, you will have the opportunity to do exactly that in a clinical environment built around mentorship, advanced professional development, clinical excellence, and long-term growth.
You will work primarily with an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine population, helping patients recover from injuries, rebuild strength, return after surgery, improve mobility, and get back to the activities that matter most to them.
Depending on your interests and experience, you may also have opportunities to provide vestibular and balance rehabilitation.
This is not a role where you simply move patients through a schedule.
It is an opportunity to strengthen your clinical reasoning, develop advanced treatment skills, pursue specialty certifications, and grow alongside Physical Therapists who take their profession seriously.
You will also have access to AI-assisted documentation technology designed to help reduce time spent completing notes so you can stay focused on your patients and protect more of your time outside the clinic.
Whether you are an experienced Physical Therapist looking for your next level of clinical growth or a motivated new graduate searching for the right foundation, Total Motion provides the support, technology, training, and professional development opportunities to help you build the career you want.

You will have the freedom to build individualized plans of care based on clinical findings, patient goals, functional limitations, and meaningful outcomes.
More Time to Evaluate, Treat, and Connect
Exceptional Physical Therapy requires time, attention, and clinical reasoning.
Our Physical Therapists typically treat approximately two patients per hour, with 60-minute evaluations that allow you to assess thoroughly and build a clear treatment strategy.
That gives you more opportunity to:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations
- Understand what is actually limiting the patient
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Progress exercises intentionally
- Apply manual therapy and other appropriate interventions
- Educate patients throughout their recovery
- Build stronger patient relationships
- Measure meaningful progress
- Help patients return confidently to work, recreation, sport, and daily life
The goal is not simply to get through the schedule.
The goal is to help patients make meaningful progress.
Spend Less Time on Documentation After Work
Documentation should support patient care, not take over your evenings.
Total Motion provides AI-assisted documentation tools designed to streamline the note-writing process and reduce unnecessary administrative work.
This technology is designed to help you:
- Complete documentation more efficiently
- Reduce repetitive typing
- Stay more focused during patient care
- Finish more of your notes during the workday
- Leave the clinic on time whenever possible
- Protect more of your personal and family time
We believe technology should help great Physical Therapists work more efficiently without sacrificing the quality of care they provide.

Your Growth Can Increase Your Earnings
At Total Motion, strong performance and professional growth are recognized.
In addition to your base compensation, Physical Therapists have opportunities for performance-based earnings that can bring annual compensation to $100,000+ per year.
