Frontier Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

In this position, you will take an active role in:
- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
- Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
- Monitoring anesthesia and supporting patient recovery as directed by the veterinary team
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $17 - $19 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of veterinary assistant or related role preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Anesthetic monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Client education and communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
