Join the Team at Fort Fido – Dog Daycare
Fort Fido is a well-established dog daycare with locations in Puyallup, WA & University Place, WA, and we’re currently accepting applications for part-time team members at both locations. This position has the potential to become full-time for the right candidate.
Please Note: Must be 18 years old and have good transportation. Ideal applicant will be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking long-term employment. If you're looking for seasonal or summer-only work, this may not be the best fit.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves working with dogs. No experience? No problem—we’re happy to train the right person who is committed and ready to grow with us.
Preferred Availability
- Open availability is strongly preferred
- Flexibility to cover shifts on short notice is a plus
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Responsibilities
- Supervising groups of dogs in our play areas
- Maintaining a calm, assertive presence with the dogs
- Cleaning up after dogs (feces, urine)
- Following detailed cleaning and safety protocols
- Lifting 30+ lbs, frequent bending/squatting, and using stairs
Must-Haves
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stay focused and calm in a busy setting
- Willingness to take initiative and ask questions
- Strong team-player mentality
Compensation & Perks
- Starting pay: $17.13–$18.50/hour plus tips (typically adds ~$2/hour)
