Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Foster a nurturing environment that supports early intervention strategies and accommodates children with special education needs.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior management among children.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements.
- Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences.
- Support toddlers and preschoolers with hands-on care, including feeding, diapering, and routine health checks.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is preferred.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; Montessori training is a plus.
