IT Service Desk Specialist (System Admin Path)

This role is designed for an experienced Service Desk Specialist ready to grow into a System Administrator role. You will support end users while progressively taking on system administration and other responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Resolve tickets via phone, email, Teams, and in‑person.
- Train employees on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams Phone, Autodesk, Bluebeam, and other business tools.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID (account creation, permissions, access adjustments).
- Assist with Intune device onboarding, compliance, and application deployment.
- Support system maintenance: updates, patches, monitoring, and backups.
- Configure and deploy hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, peripherals).
- Support secure onboarding/offboarding including accounts, licensing, and hardware recovery.
- Maintain inventory records for hardware, software, and licenses.
- Assist with procurement of IT equipment and software.
- Occasionally travel to nearby properties in the Salt Lake, Davis, and Weber counties to assist employees on-site.
- Report to and collaborate with Tier 2/IT Director, escalating issues and participating in various projects and objectives.
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed while the company continues to grow and evolve.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in IT Support or Helpdesk.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in Windows and Mac environments.
- Experience supporting a Microsoft 365 environment and applications.
- Understanding of networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Detail oriented and focused on the end-user experience.
- Proactive problem-solving and a drive to improve processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A+, Network+, Security+, or other equivalent certifications or experience.
- Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) identity management and hybrid systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune (device and application management).
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online administration.
- Exposure to Barracuda email filtering or similar security tools.
- Experience with Autodesk, Bluebeam, or Entrata platforms.
- Desire and aptitude for advancing into a System Administrator role.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
