Job Overview
Join us this summer the week of 6/29 to 7/2 (M-TH) at 9:00am-12:00pm as a dynamic preschool tumbling/gymnastics camp instructor, where you'll inspire and energize young athletes during an exciting camp session! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for gymnastics and physical activity with enthusiastic children. You'll lead engaging tumbling activities, crafts, foster a fun learning environment, and help kids develop their skills safely and confidently. This position is perfect for energetic instructors eager to make a positive impact while enjoying a rewarding summer experience.
Duties
- Lead and demonstrate tumbling technique to beginner lvel preschool age youth with an assistant teacher
- Implement our lesson plans with fun, age-appropriate tumbling drills that promote safety, coordination, and confidence
- Monitor participants closely to ensure proper form and prevent injuries, applying effective behavior management strategies
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
- Communicate clearly with campers about instructions and safety guidelines throughout each session
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and activity areas before and after sessions
- Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive experience for all participants
Experience
- Prior experience in gymnastics, cheerleading, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), or similar physical activities is highly preferred
- Background in teaching or coaching children in sports or physical education settings
- Knowledge of child behavior management techniques to create an engaging and safe environment
- Experience working with kids in childcare or camp settings is advantageous
- Passion for working with children and promoting healthy physical activity through fun, structured lessons
Compensation- $40 per hour. Opportunities to continue onward with our program this summer and into the fall season, though not required.
