Overview
Join our daycare team as a Daycare Teacher and Coordinator! In this position, you'll help care for and teach our toddlers (2–4 years old), creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for their growth and development. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster their early learning. This is a paid position with flexible hours, perfect for someone passionate about working with young children and looking for a real opportunity to grow.
Schedule: Part-time to start, with strong potential to grow into fulltime.
Responsibilities
- Teach, engage and care for toddlers (ages 2–4), responsible for a group of 6–8 kids
- Create and lead at least one take home learning activity per week (colors, shapes, letters, writing their name, etc.) for kids to share with parents
- Establish and maintain a daily classroom routine
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and inviting; clean up after activities and meals
- Lead hands on activities with the kids throughout the day
- Communicate with parents and the daycare owner about children's progress and the day's activities
- As trust builds, take on more ownership of programming and day to day operations
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool or classroom settings is required
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and creating lesson plans
- Comfortable managing a small group of toddlers with patience and warmth
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude that fosters trust and positive relationships with children and families
Required:
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Persian (Farsi)
- Education in Child Development (degree, coursework, or equivalent certification)
- Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, classroom, or similar setting
- Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with children
Preferred
- CPR / pediatric first aid certification
- Background in Art Education or a related creative field
