Your job as a Shavista (Shave Ice Barista), customer service, and cashier will be a blend of hospitality and operations. Providing a positive lasting memory with Aloha-tude™ (the Spirit of Aloha with Gratitude) for each customer and making them want to return. Aside from taking orders and processing payments, you'll often be responsible for making sure the front of the house is neat and orderly, restocking items, preparing/refilling syrups, and assigning duties.

Full-Time Shavista™ (Shave Ice Barista) and Cashier
Pay: $16-$16.50/an hour (based on experience) + tips, potential to earn $18 to $24+/an hour (after successful training)
Location: Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice - We are looking for those able to work at all locations between Central and South Maui.
Must have Availability to work Opening/closing shifts 10:00 am-7:30pm (4-5 days a week)
Uphold the values of exemplary guest service through the modeling of behavior and established guidelines
· Conduct sales/take orders, process and maintain the security and integrity of all cashless transactions and cash tips
· Shave ice and pour syrups to the company standard
· Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and food/product safety
· Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
· Duties are shared on a rotational basis by taking turns in different responsibilities of the Shavista - FOH & BOH
· Previous experience in a customer service environment, as well as strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, are highly preferred
· A neat and clean appearance is always required
· Must be able to work closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and company-defined blackout periods

Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Requires the ability to safely operate a commercial ice shaver which spins a very sharp blade at high rotations per minute.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. up to four times per day.
- Requires the ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time, up to 12 hours, and working in an environment with fluctuations in temperature.
- Requires ability to clean, scrub, wash, sweep, wipe all surfaces from the floor up, including under and above shelving, frequent handling of a variety of commercial detergents, cleaning solutions, and cleansers.
- Requires the ability to work in physical coordination with other individuals moving about in a fast-paced environment and tight areas.
