Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laminate Countertop Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into high-quality laminate countertops through precise cutting, shaping, and finishing processes. Your expertise will ensure that each product meets our rigorous standards for quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC routers, and other precision tools to cut, shape, and assemble laminate materials.
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions and quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment, utilizing forklifts and materials handling equipment as needed.
- Perform quality inspections at various stages of production to identify defects or inconsistencies, ensuring finished countertops meet specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring seamless integration of components and adherence to production schedules.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments, preferably with plastics blow molding, plastics extrusion, or plastics injection molding processes.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machinery operation.
- Skilled in machining techniques including press brake operation, CNC machining, and hand tool usage.
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise measurements and adjustments.
- Experience with quality inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product accuracy.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.
