Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry cases.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment while maintaining patient safety protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures.
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient care quality.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric patients when applicable.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a Dental Receptionist and managing medical documentation with precision.
- Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization procedures and proper handling of medical records.
- Assist with medical coding for insurance claims and billing processes related to dental procedures.
- Operate dental equipment such as intraoral cameras, digital X-ray machines, and 3D scanners to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general or specialized dental practice, including pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential for managing patient records efficiently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging tools, and 3D scanning technology.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience supporting various dental specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessments and assist with complex procedures requiring precise chairside support.
