Duties:
-Inspection and Testing: Smog check technicians use specialized equipment to inspect and test vehicles for emissions compliance. This may involve checking tailpipe emissions, onboard diagnostics (OBD) systems, and other components related to emissions control.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying necessary repairs
- Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Repairing or replacing damaged parts and components
- Conducting electrical system repairs and diagnostics
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repair and maintenance tasks
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used
Experience:
- Previous experience as a technician in an automotive service or repair setting is preferred but not necessary .
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in automotive repair
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Strong mechanical attitude and problem-solving skills
-Bilingual is a plus
