Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, a family-owned and rapidly growing funeral home and cemetery in Ogden, Utah, is seeking an experienced Funeral Director to join our compassionate team. Position Overview:
As a Funeral Director, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our client families. This position includes participation in an on-call rotation, which may involve evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide families through funeral and memorial service options with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately, including obituaries, death certificates, burial permits, and insurance paperwork.
- Manage merchandise selection, contract entry, and necessary paperwork using funeral home systems.
- Embalm and prepare the deceased for interment, cremation, or other dispositions, adhering to legal standards and maintaining the highest respect for the deceased.
- Perform dressing, cosmetic application, and casketing with attention to detail.
- Direct and assist families and attendees during funeral services, ensuring smooth transportation and timely arrivals.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of preparation rooms and refrigeration units.
- Participate in on-call / first-call duties, working independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensed Funeral Director
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to provide comfort and care in difficult situations.
- Experience in supervising staff and guiding families with empathy and professionalism.
- Technological proficiency and the ability to adapt to various systems and software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to upholding safety procedures and using personal protective equipment.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
