Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering prompt, friendly, and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring the presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Process payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems, handling cash and credit transactions responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and assist with any special requests from guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling food items.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems for processing orders efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- A proactive attitude towards helping others, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued in our establishment.
