Duties
- Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety during complex procedures involving equipment like Hoyer lifts or bed transfers; maintain patient comfort and dignity at all times.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
Experience
- Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with specialized care areas including geriatrics, pediatrics, ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, or behavioral health enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or those requiring memory or dementia care; experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices such as aseptic technique and working within homecare setting.
