Responsibilities
- Safely operate scaffolding, lifts, bosun chairs, and harness systems to access high-rise windows and facades.
- Clean windows thoroughly using hand tools, power tools, squeegees, and specialized cleaning solutions to achieve streak-free clarity.
- Install or replace glass panels and storefront glazing with precision, ensuring proper sealing and alignment.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute glass installation and facade repairs.
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks for custom window or facade components as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of window systems for damage or wear; perform caulking, sealing, or touch-up painting to maintain integrity.
- Assist with construction estimating for projects involving window replacement or facade upgrades; coordinate with team members on project timelines and materials.
- Use hand tools such as drills, saws, screwdrivers, and metal cutting tools; handle heavy lifting safely during material transport or installation.
- Follow all safety protocols related to working at heights; maintain compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety procedures.
Skills
- Construction estimating experience to assess project scope and material needs accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding systems, and metal stud framing techniques.
- Experience in glass installation, fabrication, remodeling, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to facade systems.
- Skilled in caulking, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinet setup, and metal stud framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining balance at elevated heights.
- Handyman experience combined with construction painting skills for comprehensive facade maintenance.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including remodeling projects or fixture installations.
