Pay: $30.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Manager to lead the daily operations of our high-volume restaurant kitchen on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is committed to food quality, consistency, team performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce all restaurant recipes and preparation standards.
- Place and manage all food and kitchen supply orders.
- Create and manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Monitor and maintain food ticket times to deliver prompt service.
- Ensure all food meets the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Verify ticket accuracy before food leaves the kitchen.
- Lead, coach, and hold kitchen staff accountable for performance and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Performance Expectations

- Food cost management and achieving budgeted food cost targets.

- Previous Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef experience in a high-volume restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety standards, proper handling techniques, and efficient workflow practices.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety management programs and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth shift management, timely service delivery, and excellent customer service.
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster a motivated and skilled team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting with team leadership responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and kitchen management best practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting.
- Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost management strategies effectively.
- Prior experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff, supervise shifts, and promote a positive team culture.
