Ristorante Lucia is a family run Italian restaurant in Bedford, NY. Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of dining areas, kitchen spaces, and equipment to uphold health standards
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and ensuring a clean environment for guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, table setting, and moving equipment safely following proper lifting practices
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate service flow and address guest needs
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all areas of operation
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe handling practices in the food industry
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting techniques
- Strong communication skills for internal team coordination and customer interactions
- Experience with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting serving staff is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene protocols within the restaurant industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
