PART-TIME EXPERIENCED FAMILY LAW PARALEGAL
Location: Centreville, Virginia
Work Arrangement: Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office
Position Type: Part-Time (Flexible Hours)
Established Northern Virginia law office seeks an experienced Family Law Paralegal to assist with divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, and related domestic relations matters.
This position is intended for an experienced professional who can work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling family law discovery and litigation support. Suitable applicant will be permitted to fully work remotely if desires.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, Requests for Admissions, and related discovery pleadings
- Draft discovery objections and organize discovery responses
- Review and summarize financial records, bank statements, tax returns, and other documents relevant to family law cases
- Prepare subpoenas and assist with obtaining records
- Organize exhibits and trial notebooks
- Assist with trial and hearing preparation
- Maintain case files and communicate with clients as needed
- Perform other family law litigation support tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of recent family law paralegal experience
- Experience handling Virginia divorce and custody matters preferred
- Strong knowledge of discovery practice in family law cases
- Ability to work independently and manage assignments with minimal training
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PDF software, and electronic court filings
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience.
