ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION IS LOCATED IN HOPKINSVILLE KENTUCKY- 1st shift; exact schedule depends upon line assignment.
- Performs production tasks in an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
- Has ability to meet production targets and goals.
- Looks for and makes suggestions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within the team environment by participating in the resolution of problems, participation in team meetings, works together toward team goals, and accept constructive criticism.
- Has some mechanical ability and can troubleshoot functions of the process.
- Looks for and makes employee suggestions (TIPPS) to improve quality, efficiency, and organization of work and methods.
- Operates production equipment, performs equipment changeovers, inspects production parts, documents results, and completes production reports.
- Participates in the daily activities of the team such as safety, housekeeping, and other tasks as needed.
- Shares knowledge with others and assists other in the completion of their work.
- May be required to move material and products utilizing forklifts.
- Performs some preventive maintenance inspections and makes minor adjustments to meet operating criteria.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and function satisfactorily.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive manufacturing.
- Must have ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Must be able to work in team environment satisfactorily.
