American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Float Cardiac Telemetry position at a Level I trauma center, requiring at least 1 year of experience and the ability to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments.

28-bed cardiac telemetry units providing care for all cardiac needs, including post-op care
-
Level I trauma center serving a patient population of all ages
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6

Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring
-
Required to float between cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
-
Night shift: 18:30–07:00
-
Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period required
-
Holiday shifts required based on departmental need
-
13-week contract
-
Active OK RN license or compact RN license required
-
BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Driver's license copy required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Implements and monitors patient care plans, and communicates patient condition as appropriate

Coordinates care across disciplines and assists with discharge planning

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment are essential

Follows standard precautions and utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment
