Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; promptly report any concerns to medical professionals
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs
- Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement and transfers
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in accordance with facility policies
- Engage in cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the living environment and assist with light housekeeping tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia such as Alzheimer’s and other memory care needs
- Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification
- Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for residents requiring specialized support like hospice or home health care
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and patient transfers using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
