About the Job
The Print Room Assistant plays an important role in preparing custom apparel for production by supporting the sublimation printing and pressing process. This hands-on production role is responsible for preparing artwork and files, operating production equipment, maintaining quality standards, and keeping orders moving on schedule.
You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, productivity, and accuracy are essential. This role works closely with the production team to ensure printed materials meet The Line Up’s quality standards and are ready for the next stage of production.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate printing and pressing equipment used in the sublimation process.
- Prepare, nest, export, and outsource dye sublimation files accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare graphics and artwork using graphics software and learn new programs as needed.
- Manage color throughout the sublimation printing process to maintain consistency and quality.
- Follow production schedules and prioritize work to ensure project due dates and customer delivery dates are met.
- Follow established quality control procedures throughout the marker making, nesting, and printing processes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets The Line Up’s quality standards.
- Identify and communicate quality issues, production concerns, or discrepancies promptly.
- Take ownership of accuracy and help prevent rework, waste, and unnecessary production costs.
- Operate and maintain sublimation equipment according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the Print Room and Production teams to keep orders moving efficiently.
- Communicate questions, delays, or production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist in other production areas or with additional duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
About You

Education and Experience
- Previous experience with graphics software, sublimation, digital printing, or apparel production is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphics programs is a plus.
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is helpful.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software and production processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move around for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Additional Considerations
- Wage dependent on experience: $16.00-17.00 per hour
- Seasonal Full-time, Monday–Friday
- To ensure customer needs are met, this position requires flexibility and may occasionally involve working more than 45 hours per week to accommodate business demands and other responsibilities.
