Managers' schedules are as follows.
GM 6a-4p Tues-Sat (opens)
GMs are responsible for the store, all shifts. Must have flexibility to help train, cover and audit all shifts. This is why we pay hourly, not salary for all positions.
1st Ast Open Sun-Mon Close Tues/Wed/Thurs (3p-11p)
2nd Ast Close Fri thru Monday Swing Tues (or Thurs)
We work to get all manager 2 days off in a row. (set schedules)

General Manager (GM)
Oversees all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring sales, labor, and food cost goals are met while maintaining brand standards for speed, quality, and cleanliness. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and developing staff, as well as handling inventory, vendor relationships, and customer service escalation. Leads by example to drive team performance and store profitability.
Assistant Manager (AM)
Supports the GM in running daily operations, managing shifts, and ensuring that staff adhere to company policies and procedures. Assists with scheduling, training, inventory management, and performance reviews. Steps into the GM role when needed to ensure consistent leadership.
PIC (Person in Charge)
A leadership position below Assistant Manager, responsible for running shifts independently once trained. Oversees in-shop and driver teams during shifts, ensures orders are made to standard, and maintains speed-of-service goals. Acts as the main point of contact for crew during assigned shifts while learning broader management skills.
MIT (Manager in Training)
An entry-level management development role for individuals preparing to become a GM or AM. Completes a structured training program focused on store operations, leadership skills, and Jimmy John’s systems. Works closely with the GM and AM to learn hands-on responsibilities while being evaluated for future promotion.
In-Shop Crew Member
Prepares sandwiches, maintains store cleanliness, and provides exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. Follows brand recipes and portion standards to ensure consistency. Supports prep work, stocking, and other operational tasks during shifts.
Driver
Delivers orders quickly and accurately within designated delivery zones while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. Assists with in-shop tasks such as making sandwiches, stocking, and cleaning during slower periods. Responsible for safe driving and following all delivery procedures.
