The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident care and support in activities of daily living, ensuring the health, safety, dignity, and comfort of all residents.
Assist residents with meals, feeding, and hydration
Provide personal hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and showers
Assist with ambulation, turning, positioning, and transfers
Monitor resident stability (vital signs, weight, intake/output) and report changes
Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Document care using required forms, logs, and reports
Maintain resident privacy and dignity in compliance with HIPAA
Follow professional standards, company policies, and federal/state/local regulations
Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification per Illinois state requirements
Long-term care experience preferred
Current CPR certification required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly
Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication
Moderate noise level in the work environment
