Club 7even is a new day-to-night hospitality concept launching in Venice Beach in August 2026.
During the day, Club 7even operates as a specialty coffee shop serving thoughtfully crafted coffee, matcha, tea, pastries, and breakfast. In the evening, the space transforms into a mocktail & non-alcoholic wine bar offering elevated zero-proof beverages alongside a coastal Latin and Mediterranean-inspired food menu.
We are creating Venice’s neighborhood all-day café—a place where guests can start their mornings, meet throughout the afternoon, and reconnect in the evening. We do not simply serve drinks and food; we create memorable moments that make someone’s day.
Every beverage and dish is prepared with intention, creativity, and genuine care. Whether a guest joins us for their morning coffee or an afternoon meeting, our goal is to make Club 7even feel welcoming, exciting, and unlike any other café in Venice.

Position Overview
Club 7even is seeking experienced, hospitality-focused baristas to join our opening team in Venice Beach.
As a Club 7even barista, you will prepare and serve espresso beverages, matcha, tea, seasonal specialty drinks, and other café offerings. You will also assist with breakfast dishes, pastries, private events, brand activations, and community programming.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about specialty coffee, enjoys connecting with people, and thrives in a creative, fast-paced hospitality environment.
This role is primarily focused on daytime café operations. Select baristas may have the opportunity to cross-train with our evening mocktail and non-alcoholic wine team based on interest, performance, experience, and business needs.

Compensation
Starting at $18.50 per hour, plus tips
Final compensation may vary depending on experience, availability, and assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
- At least two years of barista experience in an independent or specialty coffee environment.
- Experience exclusively at large commercial coffee chains such as Starbucks, Dunkin’, or Dutch Bros does not satisfy the specialty coffee experience requirement.
- Strong understanding of espresso preparation, dialing in, extraction, milk steaming, drink construction, and café workflow.
- Ability to consistently prepare high-quality espresso beverages during both slower service periods and high-volume rushes.
- Familiarity with matcha, tea, cold beverages, seasonal drinks, and creative beverage development.
- Comfortable operating espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, kitchen equipment, knives, and other café tools.
- Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and presentation standards accurately and consistently.
- Strong communication, hospitality, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to remain organized, composed, and welcoming in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable processing payments and completing basic cash and transaction calculations.
- Strong understanding of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, private events, and brand activations.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to provide occasional coverage or assist with transporting supplies when needed.
- Must hold or obtain a valid California Food Handler Card before beginning work.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests and create a friendly, engaging, and inviting atmosphere.
- Learn each guest’s preferences and provide thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
- Educate guests about our coffee, matcha, teas, seasonal drinks, pastries, and breakfast offerings.
- Accurately take orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
- Dial in espresso and monitor extraction quality throughout the shift.
- Prepare espresso beverages, teas, matcha, cold beverages, and seasonal drinks according to Club 7even recipes and presentation standards.
- Steam and texture dairy and alternative milks consistently.
- Prepare breakfast dishes, pastries, and other café food items according to established recipes and food-safety procedures.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked café and service area throughout every shift.
- Restock cups, lids, milk, ingredients, food items, packaging, and service supplies.
- Complete all assigned opening, midday, shift-change, and closing responsibilities.
- Properly clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts, deliveries, storage, and supply organization.
- Support private events, community gatherings, pop-ups, and brand activations.
- Communicate guest feedback, equipment concerns, inventory shortages, and operational needs to management.
- Contribute ideas for new drinks, seasonal menus, events, service improvements, and guest experiences.
- Assist with capturing appropriate social-media content during slower periods when assigned.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team to provide consistent hospitality and service.
