Terra Blanca Winery and Estate Vineyard is a family-run small business that creates exceptional guest experiences in our tasting room and restaurant, while also hosting private banquet events that include weddings, corporate events, and non-profit events. We are looking to fill positions on our Hospitality team with individuals that value hard work, communication, and teamwork.
This position is a part-time role that encompasses positions in our Tasting Room, Vineyard Grill, and Banquet departments. Qualified candidates must be willing and able to transition between each area of the business based on business needs.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by offering friendly and informative guest interactions.
- Assisting with the set up and tear down of banquet events.
- Following instruction of the manager on duty and/or shift lead.
- Assist with bussing, bartending, and food handling.
- Be comfortable and confidant in handling routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers and accounting for sales.
- Ensure accuracy of guest order and provide prompt and friendly service.
- Perform operating duties, including opening wine, restocking products, washing and polishing wine glasses, and maintaining cleanliness of the business areas.
- An enthusiastic desire to continually learn about grape growing, wine making, and food and wine experiences.
- Continually striving to go above and beyond for each and every guest.
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
- Food and beverage server experience.
- Able to read, write, and speak English well; other language is a plus.
- Self-motivated, positive, energetic attitude.
- Weekend and evening availability.
- Class 12 MAST permit and Food Servers Permit within 30 days of employment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working on feet for long periods of time.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and restaurant environment.
- Event server experience.
- Basic knowledge of wine.
- Retail and restaurant sales experience.
