Description
PER is currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join their team at our corporate headquarters in Huntsville, AL
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks
- Hands on (Professional Or Personal) experience in the assembly and integration of mechanical structures and/or electro-mechanical systems
- Experience working on integrated military systems
- Hands on experience with additive manufacturing
- Capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products and creating professional reports and briefings
Education and Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school, with a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with design, analysis, and/or modeling of weapon systems
- Experience conducting finite element analysis FEA of mechanical structures
- Experience with Python or C++
- Experience reverse engineering mechanical components and assemblies from existing drawings or existing hardware
- Experience with test setup, data recovery, and data analysis for use in lethality prediction modeling
- Active U.S. security clearance
