Are you tired of explaining to your family why shiny pieces of cardboard are a legitimate investment? Come work with people who actually get it! Hilltop Collectibles is a brand-new, growing trading card shop in Carrollton. We are building a welcoming, high-energy community for collectors, players, and anyone who loves ripping packs. We need an enthusiastic entry-level retail associate to help us run the storefront, keep the vibes immaculate, and ensure the shop doesn't descend into total chaos on tournament nights.
What You’ll Do
- Customer Wrangling: Greet customers, answer questions, and help them find exactly what they’re looking for (even if they describe it as "that one guy from that one team with the blue jersey").
- The Art of the Deal: Ring up purchases, handle cash and credit transactions, and politely explain that, unfortunately, a childhood Charizard with a folded-in-half corner is not going to fund their retirement.
- Display Management: Stock shelves, organize singles, and wage a never-ending, valiant war against enthusiastic finger smudges on our glass display cases.
- Event Support: Help set up, run, and clean up after in-store local tournaments and trade nights.
- Inventory Control: Accurately sort and catalog incoming cards without getting too distracted looking at the cool artwork.
What We’re Looking For
- Zero professional experience required! If you have a great attitude and are willing to learn, we will train you on the rest.
- People Skills: You actually like talking to humans. You'll be dealing with everyone from hardcore investors to eight-year-olds who just want to talk about Pikachu for twenty minutes straight.
- Thick Skin & Patience: The ability to gently but firmly explain the difference between "Near Mint" and "Surrendered to the Dog."
- Reliability: You show up on time, ready to work, and don't ghost us when a new set drops.
- Hobby Knowledge (A huge plus): A basic understanding of sports cards, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or other TCGs will put you at the top of the stack. Certifications for judging competitions a huge plus.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
