Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule working in a busy Cardiology practice

This position is specifically for to serve as a dedicated Phone Triage Nurse for the Electrophysiology (EP) program, supporting patients with heart rhythm disorders and coordinating care across their treatment journey
Provide specialized telephone triage for electrophysiology patients, assessing arrhythmia-related symptoms, cardiac device concerns (pacemakers/ICDs), and post-procedure recovery needs to ensure timely and appropriate care
Coordinate electrophysiology patient care by reviewing diagnostic results, addressing medication and treatment questions, and collaborating closely with providers to optimize outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders
Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
