Position: Mental Health Counselor
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mental Health Counselor in our Republic location. Our Mental Health team provides assessment and behavioral healthcare treatment services to clients experiencing mental illness with a goal to alleviate or reduce the impact of symptoms in order to restore emotional, cognitive, behavioral and social well-being. The Mental Health Counselor will meet with clients of all ages to assess treatment needs and develop a treatment plan that they will oversee and monitor. Their work may also involve group sessions to support clients and the role may be tapped to support individuals in crisis in our counties. Quality healthcare is our mission, but documentation keeps us in business, so while it’s not what brought us to these roles, you will need to be comfortable with typing.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related Behavioral Health field.
- Able to be certified as an Agency Affiliated Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health upon hire.
- Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist strongly preferred.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and vehicle insurance as well as transportation required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
