Accounting Clerk (Accounts Payable & Receivable)
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour
Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Location: 100% Office-Based
We are a well-established company in the aluminum industry seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position responsible for supporting our accounting department with a primary focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and prepare accounts payable payments
- Generate customer invoices and maintain accounts receivable records
- Apply customer payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems
- Assist with month-end accounting procedures and reconciliations
- Communicate professionally with customers and vendors regarding account inquiries
- Support the accounting team with general administrative and accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel based programs
- ERP experience such as SAP, M1, Quickbooks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary accounting coursework is an asset
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage of $18.00–$22.00, based on experience and qualifications
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Two (2) weeks of paid vacation annually, beginning to accrue on your first day of employment and available after successfully completing your 90-day probationary period
- Three (3) paid and two (2) unpaid unplanned personal days per year (prorated during your first year of employment)
- Simple IRA retirement plan with employer matching contributions after one year of employment
Work Environment
This is a 100% office-based position. Regular, dependable attendance is essential, as this role works closely with other departments to ensure the timely processing of financial transactions.
