The Children's Outpatient Division at Hegira Health provides mental health treatment for individuals, families and groups. Come join our wonderful staff putting families first. Therapists hired into the Children's Outpatient area benefit from the wealth of knowledge the leadership team possesses. Join the team in any of the following areas:
- Infant and Early Childhood Development - Ages through 6
The Therapist shall be available Monday through Friday daytime and minimum of two evenings per week or one evening and one Saturday to meet the needs of the consumer.
CHILDRENS' THERAPIST REQUIREMENTS:
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, specializing in psychology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field
- Current, appropriate licensure/certification issued by the State of Michigan
- One year providing direct treatment services to children in a behavioral health inpatient or outpatient setting
- Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostics, psychopharmacology, and supportive treatment approaches as applied to child/adolescent population
- Knowledge of family treatment utilizing a family systems approach
CHILDRENS' THERAPIST RESPONSIBILITIES (summary):
- Complete assigned intake/ comprehensive integrated bio-psychosocial assessment
- Formulate preliminary ICD-10 diagnosis.
- Identify issues that may exist regarding safety (personal and environmental), natural supports, and community involvement
- Identify referrals needed for comprehensive treatment, including medical, nutrition, education, and vocational training
- Report to all referral sources as needed
- Identify Case Management, and/or Psychiatry needs and complete referral within timeframes
- Complete necessary screening tools
- Establish effective therapeutic bonds with patients assigned to caseload
- Demonstrate ongoing engagement efforts with difficult to engage patients
- Complete progress notes for all treatment services
Pay is based on years of experience and licensure (limited or full).
