Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of preschool and toddler-aged children
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other core subjects into daily lesson plans
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents
- Promote child welfare by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR certification requirements
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or daycare centers
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
- Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and childhood development instruction
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education environments
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Prior experience in private schools or daycare settings is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for ongoing professional growth is essential
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
