Flexible Shift Options (hours differ on location)
- Before Care (6:20am-9:20am)
- After Care (2:45pm-6:30pm)
- Substitute (on call)
- MCPS Early Release Days (12:00pm-6:30pm)
- MCPS No School (6:20am-12:30pm/ 12:30pm-6:30pm)
Do you have a passion for working with children and helping them thrive both academically and socially? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced childcare provider for our before and after-school program for school-age children. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and have a strong commitment to the well-being of children.
Qualifications:
Site Director (starting hourly rate $20.00 and up)
- Previous experience working with children in a developmentally appropriate group setting.
- Minimum age of 21
- First Aid, CPR, and AED, training within 30 days of hire.
- 45 Hr. School-Age/ 45 Hr. Growth & Development / 9HR Communication
- Director Trainings (Medication Administration, Emergency Preparedness, Director Regulation Training, ADA, Basic Health & Safety, Covid-19 in Childcare.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement high-quality developmentally appropriate programming.
Lead Teacher (starting hourly rate $19.00 and up)
- Previous experience working with children in a developmentally appropriate group setting.
- 45 Hr. School-Age/ 45 Hr. Growth & Development / 9HR Communication
- Minimum age of 18 (lead teachers)
- ADA, Basic Health & Saftey, Covid-19 in Childcare
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement high-quality developmentally appropriate programming.
Aide (starting hourly rate $18.00 and up)
- No experience required
- Passion to work with children
- Willing to complete training upon employment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands the concepts of mutual respect, responsibility, and communication and interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- Guides and assists in the development of program content and special events.
- Assist in the development, training, and ongoing educational requirements through orientation, training, and continued education opportunities.
- Understands the group leader’s role as that of facilitator vs. instructor.
- Communicate problems, issues, or concerns with the supervisor.
- Possess the ability to relate to children, parents, peers, branch staff, volunteers, and the community.
- Must pass a medical examination.
- Keep up-to-date records of all children participating in the program.
- Manage staff scheduling for the site.
- Manage attendance sheets for the assigned site.
- Manage staff files and paperwork.
- Must pass CPS (Child Protective Services) and FBI criminal background check.
Job Location:
- Various sites within Montgomery County are located within the Montgomery County Public School System. (Germantown, Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, Rockville, Wheaton, Silver Spring, etc.)
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bilingual.
- Proficient in Google Suite.
- Experience working within a school system or childcare facility.
- Working towards an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or 90 Hours (45 growth & development/ 45 School Age)
