Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, and other related SEC filings.

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.

Assist in the preparation of the quarterly earnings release and investor presentations.

Conduct research on SEC and GAAP reporting requirements and update the management team on emerging accounting and reporting standards.

Manage the internal controls over financial reporting process and ensure the effectiveness of these controls.

Provide leadership and guidance to the financial reporting team and foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

Participate in special projects as required, including system implementations, process improvements, and merger and acquisition activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, or a similar role in the energy industry.

In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial reporting software is a plus.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
