Job Summary
Interacts with members of the Die Cast Department (machine operators, leads, and supervisor), Quality Control (inspectors and leads), Maintenance Department, and Tool Crib Attendants.
This position is responsible operating a numbers manual, semi-automatic, and automatic die casting machines which produce a variety of die cast parts. The operator will be responsible for the removal, installation, and operating of die cast dies.
Detailed Description
· (70%) Operates all semi-automatic and automatic die casting machines as per approved die casting procedures. This includes starting machines, turning off machines, adjusting sprue fault, and starting robots.
· (10%) Performs hourly quality checks and must complete SPC form.
· (5%) Performs set-ups on any of the semi-automatic and automatic die casting machines.
· (5%) Performs repairs/ maintenance on any die casting machine in the department as required and upon authorization by the supervisor and/or lead. This involves repairing water leaks, replacing cutters, and changing nozzles.
· (5%) Change rings, pistons, goosenecks, and plum dies while working with 800* metal.
· (5%) Keeps and maintains good housekeeping in the department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
