Job Summary
Our client a Tampa Law Firm is hiring a Litigation Legal Assistant for a permanent position. Seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual with strong technical aptitude, initiative, and a client-centered approach to provide high-level support to litigation attorneys. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support attorneys in managing case files, and preparing legal documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and analysis skills, along with a solid foundation in legal administrative procedures.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, orders, and correspondence arranging for their delivery to parties involved in a matter.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly electronically filed.
- Perform tasks including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations and appointments, maintaining calendars, and coordinating meetings.
- Communicate via phone, voicemail with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses and experts.
- Assist with hearing, deposition and trial preparation.
- Maintain attorneys calendars for meetings, hearings, depositions; docketing critical dates.
- Other legal administrative duties such as opening files, screening phone calls, travel arrangements, finalizing billing and duties related to a legal assistant role.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal with strong familiarity in litigation.
- Prior experience in legal administrative roles or paralegal work is required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and external agencies.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in legal software applications and document management systems.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
